Day 22: NaNoWriMo

Get out of the house and go write somewhere.

That's what I do every Sunday. I leave home with a to-go cup full of coffee, I sit in a Panera Bread, and I whoop some words into shape.

Be repetitive. When I used to take Taekwondo, every twenty to thirty minutes of training was the same. We stretched, we jogged, we practiced basic fundamental moves. I went three times a week for years, and some weeks were just the basics.

The reason we always did the same techniques is because practice created mastery. Slowly I became more confident, my kicks and punches had more force, I didn't have to think about what I was doing. When it came time to practice more advanced moves, I saw they were nothing but branches of everything I already learned.

I repeat getting out of the house to write and routine backups (Which you should have done!) is because I see them as the writing fundamentals.
